BioNCCE members Sonia Llorente-Culebras, Ana M. C. Santos (Guida and André Menegotto (left to right in the picture) attended the International Biogeography Society Conferente that was held in Prague, between the 7-11 January 2024.

Each of them gave a talk about their ongoing research. Sonia focused on the functional and phylogenetic diversity of protected areas and taxonomic groups, Guida presented her recent research on the relationship between dung beetle diversity and ecosystem functioning at a global scale. André showed us how island marine and terrestrial systems are highly vulnerable to climate change.

It was a great meeting!
